The most famous mushroom on planet Earth, the fly agaric mushroom is simultaneously the most misunderstood mushroom.

I first learned you can safely cook and eat Amanita Muscaria at the Telluride Mushroom Festival over 10 years ago. I’ve also been foraging and processing mushrooms and other herbs and plants since that time.

We gather all of our amanita from here in Alaska just approximately 100 miles south of the Arctic Circle. We do have two varieties from other countries and they are described in the product listings.
